How to Remove your Makeup ?

Leaving on makeup longer than necessary can clog pores, especially if it is thick makeup or there is a lot on. Removing makeup as soon as you are finished with it is key to keeping gorgeous skin, especially overnight. However, it can be tricky to make sure all of it is gone.

And we cannot imagine going to bed without removing my make-up and washing my face. Certainly both removing your make-up and washing your face shouldn’t be seen as a burden. Instead it should be an automatic part of your pre-bedtime ritual. You brush your teeth before going to bed…right??  You need to remove your make-up at night so that your make-up doesn’t sit on your face and clog your pores. Not removing your make-up at the end of the day will mean going to sleep with lots of free radicals, caused by pollution that is clinging to your make-up, on your skin. These free radicals contribute to early aging and cellular damage. As you go about your day dirt, residue, and pollution all collect on your face. You need to remove all of those pollutants before going to bed.

Steps

1. Remove any eye makeup. Use a gentle makeup remover just for eye makeup. Regular makeup remover can irritate the eyes. Make sure you get most, if not all, of any eyeliner and mascara you had on, as well as some eyeshadow.

2. Steam your pores. Drape a towel over your head and hold it over a sink of hot, steaming water. This opens your pores and dislodges your makeup easier for cleansing.

3. Remove your lip color. Apply a small dab of petrolatum jelly to your lips, and gently rub it in with a tissue. Fold in the tissue, and blot the lips.

4. Use a gentle face wash. Most of your makeup should come off on this stage. Be sure the face wash is gentle and you don't scrub harshly. Your skin has been covered in makeup all day and it needs to breathe!

5. Remove any eye makeup that ran while you washed your face. It's pretty common to see a bit of mascara or eyeliner under your eyes, and very easy to remove with a dampened cotton swab.

6. Close your pores with a splash of cool water. Rub in some moisturizer to soothe your skin.

7. Pat your face dry with a towel and rub in a light moisturizer. The rigor of the applying of makeup and removal of makeup can dry out your skin in irritation. Soothe this with a light moisturizer.

Tips

If you don't have eye makeup remover, baby oil on a cotton ball works really well (just make sure to rinse the oil off afterward to prevent break-outs)

Always use a noncomedogenic moisturizer. They don't clog pores.

Alternatively, you can skip the step to remove eye makeup, especially if you don't have mascara on, because the steam will dislodge most of the makeup.

For a more relaxing treatment, try adding orange or eucalyptus scents.

You may also use the HydraMitt which is a microfiber mitt that removes makeup in seconds by using warm water only. It's also very gentle on your eyes and will not scratch your skin like your typical microfiber cloth.

Some olive oil on a soft tissue will work, too.

Warnings
Do not start by washing your face, this dries out the skin and does not get off most of the makeup.
Do not over exfoliate the skin or use abrasive products. These can damage the skin and leave it looking dull and wrinkled.

Things You'll Need

Eye makeup remover
Facial wash
Facial moisturizer

Grooming - Tips Every Men Should Know

After waking up

Most men were taught to comb their hair after waking up, wash their hands before eating and brush their teeth after every meal. But in addition to these basic grooming habits are a few more primping imperatives. Make these a part of your daily routine and be the best fresh-smelling, well-moisturized, healthy gentleman you can be.

Clean and Trim Nails

Dirty and unkempt fingernails can give the impression of poor hygiene. Trim all your nails to the same length and clean underneath them to remove dirt. If the skin around your fingernails is dry or peeling, moisturize it with a few drops of olive oil, then rinse after 10 minutes.

Wash Face Daily

Nearly every beauty magazine she reads tells a woman to wash her face daily, but men should also follow this advice. Use a gentle facial cleanser at the end of each day to remove the dirt, dust and oil that can accumulate on your face.
Groom Unwanted Facial Hair

Humans are naturally hairy creatures, but that doesn't mean you have to be beastly: Don't neglect your nose hair. Trim it at least once a week to prevent the hairs from protruding from your nostrils. Use the nose hair trimmer to remove excess hair in and around your ears as well.

Floss Daily

Your dentist recommends daily flossing for good reason. Flossing removes plaque and any remaining food particles from between your teeth, leaving you less vulnerable to cavities and gum disease. Floss at least once per day and follow up with a mouthwash.

Wear Lip Balm

Even if your lips feel moisturized, it's wise to apply a thin coat of lip balm before you head out the door. Women typically wear lipstick, gloss or balm, making them three times less likely than men to get lip cancer, says the American Cancer Society's Vilma Cokkinides in the "Men's Health" article "The 50 Best Grooming Tips + Products for Men." Change your odds for the better by wearing lip balm. Reapply it every two hours when you're in the sun.

Use Shaving Cream

Not only does shaving cream show which areas have already been shaved, but it also serves as a lubricant and moisturizer for your face. Apply a thick coat to an already wet face before shaving. You'll have fewer cuts and reduce the potential for painful razor burn. Use an aftershave or moisturizer following your shave for even smoother skin.

Condition Hair

In addition to shampooing your hair at least every other day, don't forget to condition. While shampoo washes away dirt, environmental contaminants and product buildup, conditioner supplies the hair with moisture, making it look and feel healthier. If your hair is especially dry or brittle, use a leave-in deep conditioner at least once a week.

How Hot Should Water to Clean Your Hair?

Use Hot Water For A Deep Cleaning

Using hot water--as hot as is comfortable--will open pores and break up oils near the scalp. The warmer the water, the more oils will break down and be carried away with a rinse. If the hair has extra product or oil on it, hotter water may be the best choice for a thorough cleaning.

Too Much Hot Water Can Be Harmful

Using hot water on a regular basis is generally not recommended. If too much of the natural oil is stripped away, then the skin of the scalp could become dry. Also, too much heat--whether from hot water, hot curlers or hair dryers--will eventually cause damage to the individual hairs, causing breaks and split ends. This is a greater concern for those with long hair that is not trimmed as often.

Bottom Line

The temperature used at most salons for shampooing is lukewarm to warm. For everyday washing--or every other day, as some recommend for preserving natural oils--warm water allows much of the dirt and oils to be carried away, without adding enough heat to dry out the scalp or damage the hair. For extra shine, follow with a cool-water rinse to "lock in" moisture from conditioner and close up hair follicles on the scalp.

Smoking-Hot New Yorkers Dish Their Best Fitness Tips

Everyone's looking to slim down in the summer — for the beach, for the bikini, and for the cute new bartender down the block. And while we might be experts at say, wardrobe essentials, we don't claim to have our fitness game on lock. So, we turned to some of NYC's toned tastemakers to find out how they get their compliment-worthy bods.

From their favorite local juice bars to the ab workouts that promise to get you that washboard stomach in no time, these go-to tips from real-life New Yorkers are actually effective. Click through to feel the burn…from your desk chair. Just scanning the article counts as a workout.

Robyn Lawley, model

"Even as a plus-size model with Wilhelmina, I still watch what I eat, especially during the summer. My trick is to eat smaller portions rather than cutting out the foods I love so much (because as soon as you take the cake away from the kid, he/she will want it twice as much). Portion size is the biggest problem right now — many people don't know what a healthy portion of pasta, meat, or anything else is meant to be. I find that you can enjoy the foods you love, but just don't overdo it. Simply put: moderation is key. To supplement this, I work out with a trainer three times a week and include both cardio and strength training as part of my regimen."

Alejandro Ingelmo, designer

"My favorite juice bar is JuiceGeneration, the best flavor is the coconut acai. My current fitness obsession is CrossFit — I go four days a week, and the other days I spin at SoulCycle. My trainer at CrossFit, Ryan, has me do a cycle of five pull-ups, 10 pushups, and 15 squats, for as many rounds as I can do in 20 minutes. I just did my first CrossFit Challenge, called the Civilian Military Combine. You do burpees, box jumps, and kettle bells, and then run a six-mile course with obstacles throughout. It was amazing."

Lauren Bruker, SoulCycle Instructor

"My favorite workout is push-ups! I try to do at least 40 a day when I feel like my body needs a quick fix. You can do 10 in the morning, 10 at the office, 10 before a date...it's a nice way to break up the day! My go-to food is eggs. I love this amazing food. They're packed with protein, affordable, and delicious — you can eat them for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!"

Jackie Warner, fitness expert

"My favorite diet foods are oatmeal, grapefruit, eggs, and, of course, water! For protein powder, I recommend my own — it is all natural, no sugar, no artificial flavors, and has antioxidants. My favorite ab workout is the plank: elbow to touch plank, drop plank, then straight leg drop. For cardio, I do 20 minutes on the treadmill — walk uphill at level 12 for two minutes (speed 3.5), run for two minutes (speed 6.5/7), then a one minute cooldown (speed 3.5). Repeat four times."

Chris McNally, stylist, RRL

"My secret weapon for an insane workout is a great warm-up. Forget the boring 10-minute job and grab a medicine ball and do balance work instead. Doing so before you start your normal workout routine is key, because it works on your core. Focusing on aligning the spine and keeping the abs tight will help you keep good form throughout your entire workout. After a killer workout my favorite spot to grab a protein shake or smoothie is Internal Yoga Natural Foods on 13th Street, they have the best juice bar in the city.

As far as snacks go, grab a handful of almonds and a bottle of water when you're hungry. Having about 12 to 15 almonds will give the boost you need to make it through the day. But the most important part of this snack is the water — it will expand your stomach and make you feel full longer. I also try to incorporate what I've learned from playing sports as a kid into my workouts and on the weekends. If I'm headed to the beach I'm always packing a football or a frisbee — a quick game of catch will keep those calories off. Working out should be fun so that you don't get discouraged. Results take time, so have fun and remember, it's progress, not perfection."

Rebecca Goodman, Equinox

"I am a total group-fitness junkie, and my latest obsession is Jaime Morales' Core Shaper and Total Body Shaper classes at Equinox Greenwich Avenue. Jaime's energy is totally infectious, and his classes are the perfect way to kickstart the day. Those core moves are key to being bikini-body ready. I have recently become addicted to kale in any form: kale chips, kale juice, kale salad. Juice Generation (at select Equinox locations) has possibly the best kale salad in the city, and their "Hail to Kale" juice (kale, watermelon, apple, lemon) is so delicious and refreshing on a hot summer day."

Misha Nonoo, designer

"My favorite juice bar is Melvin's Juice Box (the juice bar offshoot of Miss Lily's), as it's so close to my office, and does a delicious green juice called 'Body Good.' I also love Pilates Proworks on 14th Street for their brilliant TRX Pro Suspension training classes, which are unique and challenging. I did them for a month in the run up to my wedding and saw great results!"

Jeanann Williams, PR consultant

"I go religiously to classes at Body by Simone. Simone broke away from Tracey Anderson and started her own gym just a few short blocks from my house. Her cardio dance classes will transform your body and it's fun. The BBS Method creates long lean muscles and builds core strength. A lot of Aussie trainers and amazing energy from everyone at her studio. Sign up for semi-privates with a friend, it's great to share it with someone and keep each other committed. My sister-in-law and I train together. Exercise for endorphins, it makes you happy.

I live for Organic Avenue. A couple days drinking their juices and you will feel like a new person, completely reenergized and fresh. It's a quick fix before any special occasion, a few days on the juice gets you feeling svelte and fresh-faced. Even adding one of their green juices from time to time to your regular diet will get your energy levels up.

I also take a great combo of vitamins that a health fanatic friend tipped me off on: Soluble Iron, Soluble Magnesium, a Pro-Biotic, and Coconut Oil pills. I get all at Whole Foods. But overall, good health for me lies in keeping it simple — fresh, organic foods, and lots of water."

Sarah Howard, beauty blogger

"Pilates is my go-to, it's all about your core. Anything that increases my heart rate, i.e. real exercise, is not for me. I'm more of a strengthening and lengthening type of girl. Someone once told me that you can grow up to an inch from Pilates, and since I would be most pleased with an extra inch in the vertical direction, I was instantly hooked. In between classes, there's a great core exercise that anyone can do at home. It helps with posture and that coveted eight pack. Lay on a foam roller, knees bent, feet on the ground, arms straight out behind you. Slowly lift your leg toward your stomach to meet your right arm. Return both to their starting position and do the same on the other side. Reps of 10 on each side should do the trick."

Samantha Yanks, editor in chief of Gotham and Hamptons

"In Manhattan I love Chaise 23 — all the workouts are done in a chair! It sounds lazy, but you really feel it after the Reinvention class. Remorca has training down to a science. They are the only gym on the East Coast to use the same professional Polar technology as pro sports teams. But that doesn’t mean you’re just a number. Remorca’s trainers are big on connecting with their clients and forming a workout “community” in their gym.

In the Hamptons I love Provisions — I leave Flywheel Sports in Sag Harbor and go to their café for a quick smoothie and to pick up veggies for lunch by the pool. All of Provisions’ fruits and vegetables are organic, and they support our local East End farms."

Flip Flops Can Be Dangerous ?!

Of Course, Flip flops seem to be perfect for hot summer days when you can spend your whole day walking and enjoying yourself. But according to the scientists and doctors they aren’t the best footwear you can choose for this purpose. Moreover, flip flops can be even more dangerous than high heels.

Why flip flops are dangerous?

Flip flops affect the gait and cause problems with legs, knees, hips and back

Flip flops do not provide great support and while they seem to be very comfortable they are actually not. The problem is that the only thing that makes flip flops hold on your feet is the thong and that means you have to grip the shoe when you walk. This affects your gait and puts additional strain on your muscles. Besides, when you wear flip flops you tend to strike the ground with less force than when you wear any other shoes. This makes you take shorter steps resulting in lower leg pain and even development of heel spurs (little bony growths on the heel) and plantar strain.

Flip flops don’t protect you from falling objects or other people stepping on your feet
Your feet can’t be protected from such simple things as falling objects or even other people stepping on them. When you wear flip flops your nails can get injured or toes can be bruised which is unlikely to happen when you wear other type of footwear.

Thin soles don’t absorb shock

Flip-flops usually come with very thin soles which can’t provide shock absorption. So walking on hard or uneven surfaces can cause foot pain, or you can have your ankles sprained if you trip.

You can develop skin cancer

We normally put sunscreen to all those parts of our body which are exposed, but we often forget to protect our feet from the harmful UV rays. And skin cancer can develop on feet to, and that’s the most dangerous thing as we don’t normally examine our feet, heels and toes so carefully as we do with face or arms. And spots are easy to miss if they are hidden between the toes.

Forget about flip flops if you are prone to foot injuries or already have ones
If you are diabetic or have weak immune system you are more prone to infections, which means in case of even insignificant injury you can have a lot of problems. And when you wear flip flops injuries are quite common due to the fact your feet are very exposed. Avoid flip flops in case you are overweight as you need more support in your shoes since more stress is put on your feet, ankles and lower back. And if you already have foot injuries staying away from flip flops is a must if you don’t want to make it worse.

Flip flops are bad for driving

Any open heeled shoes including flip-flops are potentially dangerous when you drive because there is a chance that they can slip off and get stuck under accelerator or brake pedals.

How to decrease dangers flip flops bring:
1. Opt for comfy shoes or sandals if you have to walk long distances. Flip flops are basically made for walking along the beach or pool.
2. Choose flip flops with thicker soles which could protect your feet from uneven surfaces and sharp objects you might step on while walking.
3. To prevent development of cancer use sun block and check your feet for any suspicious moles on the regular basis.

How to Care for My Ears

Taking care of your ears involves two things: caring for the outer ear itself for cosmetic reasons, and protecting your hearing by caring for the inside of your ear. The following will show you ways to protect your ears from damage, infection and hearing loss.

Instructions
Caring for Your Ears

Avoid blows to the outer ear. If you wrestle, box or participate in a contact sport such as rugby, wear headgear that includes protection for your ears. Repeated blows to the outer ear can result in a condition called cauliflower ear, in which the cartilage of the ear is damaged and the ear becomes deformed.

Pierce carefully, particularly if piercing cartilage. An infected piercing can cause permanent damage to the outer ear, something that will ruin the look of any earring.

Clean your ears with a washcloth-covered finger only. Never put anything inside your ear canal, including cotton swabs. Your ear canal is very narrow, and a swab or finger can damage it; they can also cause ear wax to get pushed against the ear drum, which can cause hearing problems.

Leave ear wax alone. Wax is your ear's way of trapping and eliminating anything foreign that gets into the ear canal. Most people don't need to clean wax out of their ears. If you find you have too much ear wax (it's visible in the ear or it's affecting your hearing), use a few drops of ear wax remover or hydrogen peroxide in the canal. After a few minutes, flush the ear with a rubber bulb and tepid water.

Protecting Your Hearing

Avoid noisy places. NASCAR racetracks, firing ranges, rock concerts and construction sites are just a few places that frequently have noise levels that can damage hearing. Any place where you have to shout to be heard should be avoided. If you choose to go anyway, wear earplugs.

Turn the volume down. Be careful not to play personal stereos and televisions too loud, especially if using headphones or earbuds.

See your doctor if you have an earache. Ear infections can damage the ear drum or the bones of the middle ear, causing hearing loss. Your doctor may prescribe medication or order a minor surgical procedure to help you if you suffer from frequent infections.

Be careful with illness and medications. Respiratory illnesses should be treated to avoid their spread to the ears. Certain medications can damage hearing; take only what's prescribed for you and follow the directions carefully. Avoid others who are ill; some illnesses can only be treated with antibiotics that can damage hearing.

Stop smoking. Smokers are more likely to lose their hearing than non-smokers.

See your doctor if you suffer from sudden hearing loss or hear noises in your head (tinnitus). These can be symptoms of a serious illness which needs to be treated.

Never poke anything into your ear including cotton buds

The inner lining of your ear is extremely delicate and can be easily damaged. In an interesting ear care solution, the ear itself is self cleaning and wax is needed to protect it.

Clean your ear

Clean the visible part of your ear with soapy water and rinse when you are done washing.

Keep ears dry

If you have problematic ears, it is best to keep them dry as bacteria like moist places. This is a vital tip in ear care tips. When showing, place a piece of cotton wool dabbed with Vaseline into the ear to prevent water from getting in.

Don’t immerse your ears into bath water

Bacteria from your body may enter your ear canal and could cause an infection through water getting trapped behind the earwax.

Tips & Warnings

When flying, take care not to let pressure build up in your ears. Yawn frequently, chew gum, hold your nose while trying to exhale or move your jaw to help the pressure equalize during take-off and landing. Try not to fly when you're congested; if you have no choice, take decongestants before and during the flight.

If you are a SCUBA-diver, learn how to properly descend and ascend so pressure changes don't damage your hearing.

Prolonged exposure to things that don't seem loud can damage hearing. Take a break from the food processor, lawnmower or washing machine and seek a quiet place to let your ears "rest."

Certain chemicals can damage hearing if absorbed by the body. Wear protective clothing and equipment when dealing with chemicals at work or at home.

How To Take Care Of My Face With Acne

Acne is a broad term covering blemishes, pimples, blackheads, and whiteheads. Even though acne is more known to be a problem amongst teenagers who are experiencing puberty and experience oiler skin, this condition can strike at any age. While there are many preventative measures you can take to avoid acne, here's how to get rid of existing acne.
A pimple starts when the pores in the skin become clogged with a type of oil called sebum, which normally lubricates the skin and hair. Acne is common during puberty when hormones go into overdrive, causing the skin to overproduce sebum. Because many oil-producing glands are on the forehead, nose, and chin, this area — the T-zone — is where a person is most prone to pimples.

Steps:
Wash your face twice a day (no more) with warm water and a mild soap made for people with acne. Gently massage your face with circular motions. Don't scrub. Overwashing and scrubbing can cause skin to become irritated. After cleansing, the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) recommends applying an over-the-counter (no prescription needed) lotion containing benzoyl peroxide. This will decrease oil and bacteria. Wash your face after extensive sweating, after you wake up, and before going to bed. If medicated acne washes dry your out your skin, use water only.

Don't pop pimples. It's tempting, but here's why you shouldn't: Popping pimples can push infected material further into the skin, leading to more swelling and redness, and even scarring. If you notice a pimple coming before a big event, like the prom, a dermatologist can often treat it for you with less risk of scarring or infection.

Avoid touching your face with your fingers or leaning your face on objects that collect sebum and skin residue like your phone. Touching your face can spread the bacteria that cause pores to become inflamed and irritated. To keep bacteria at bay, wash your hands before applying anything to your face, such as treatment creams or makeup. Avoid oil-based makeup and skin products. If you have acne on your back, wear breathable and loose fabrics.

If you wear glasses or sunglasses, make sure you clean them frequently to keep oil from clogging the pores around your eyes and nose.

If you get acne on your body, try not to wear tight clothes. They don't allow skin to breathe and may cause irritation. Scarves, headbands, and caps can collect dirt and oil, too.

Remove your makeup before you go to sleep. When buying makeup, make sure you choose brands that say "noncomedogenic" or "nonacnegenic" on the label. Throw away old makeup that smells or looks different from when you first bought it.

Keep hair clean and out of your face to prevent additional dirt and oil from clogging your pores.
Protect your skin from the sun. It may seem like a tan masks acne, but it's only temporary. A tan may worsen your acne, not improve it. Tanning also causes damage to skin that will eventually lead to wrinkles and increase your risk of skin cancer.

Acne medications may cause your skin to initially break out worse than before because all FDA-approved acne medications (benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, and sulfur) cause your skin to regenerate faster. This brings existing acne pimples already under your skin (but not visible yet) to the surface, which in turn causes a massive but fortunately temporary break out. Give the medications time to work and stick with them through this potentially discouraging phase.

If you are susceptible to dry skin, don't use toothpaste. Menthol and alcohol can easily dry the skin too much, leading to further irritation of the face.

Look for standard toothpastes that are not gels and contain minimal additives. Natural or organic toothpastes should be your best bet!

While it's true that UV light can be effective against acne (particularly against bacteria), it is also effective in creating skin cancer and wrinkles. Don't use tanning as acne treatment, especially in combination with salicylic acid!. There is a form of phototherapy that is effective against acne without exposing your skin to UV rays Ask your dermatologist about it.

Make sure to change your pillowcase every couple of days. Dirt, oil and germs stick to pillowcases just like they would to a paper towel. Since you spend a third of your day with your face on that fabric, you definitely want it to be clean.

Try changing your diet and cutting out junk food, sugar and white carbohydrates.

Home Remedies For Removing Acne
Apply crushed-up aspirin to your acne. Grind up aspirin tablets and add water to make a paste. Apply it to your acne spot, leave it on overnight, and wash it off in the morning

Apply lemon/lime and potato wedges to your acne spots. Doing this on a daily basis may also improve your skin.

Use toothpaste. Sometime you can apply a small dab to the acne spot, leave it on overnight, and wash it off in the morning. Toothpaste can act as a mask, drawing impurities out of the skin. It may also dry the skin lightly as it does so, which can reduce the size of a pimple. Some toothpastes contain ingredients that help eliminate acne (e.g., menthol and alcohol), but others can actually irritate it further, so be careful before you attempt this method.

Use fruits. Boil 50 grams of raspberry, strawberry or blackberry leaves with 1.5 liters of water for three minutes. Apply this to a pack and then put it on your face.

Apply mint. Apply fresh mint juice to your face every night.
Use lettuce water. Saturate lettuce leaves in water. Use this water to rinse your face at least once daily.
Make a paste. Grind up tomatoes into a fine paste and apply this to the affected area.
Use clove oil. This has also been shown to be effective against Propionibacterium acnes.

Use Medication to Remove Acne
1.Unclog your pores with salicylic acid. Acne begins to form when pores get clogged with a "plug" of keratin and sebum. Salicylic acid loosens the plug by softening the keratin (it's a keratolytic). Make sure you use sunblock simultaneously because salicylic acid makes your skin more sensitive to UV light.

This is also why it's not good to wash or exfoliate your face too much. Not only does it irritate your skin, but it also creates extra dead skin, which can plug up your pores.

2.Apply benzyol perioxide. Use a gel, cream, or soap containing benzoyl peroxide twice a day. Benzoyl peroxide is a "bactericide" that's particularly effective against Propionibacterium acnes. The drawback is that it often irritates your skin, resulting in dryness and redness. You should supplement this treatment with a non-comedogenic moisturizer. If your skin still gets irritated, use a product with a lower concentration. Also be careful when using it as benzoyl peroxide bleaches fabric and hair.

3.Look for products with triclosan or chlorhexidine gluconate. These also killPropionibacterium acnes. They are less effective than benzoyl peroxide, but they are gentler on your skin.

4.Look for treatments with sulfur and sodium sulfacetamide as their active ingredients. This combination (in concentrations of 5% and 10% respectively) has been shown to reduce acne with only mild side effects. While the exact way in which sulfur reduces acne is unknown, it is known to be a keratolytic, like salicylic acid.

5.Use acne specific face washes. Neutrogena has a line of products devoted to clearing your blemishes.

Warnings
If you are pregnant (and pregnant women often get acne) consult your doctor before using any over-the-counter product.

Most acne treatments take time to work. It usually takes between two and eight weeks before you see any significant improvement, so you are going to have to maintain a routine. The most important thing is PATIENCE

This is one of the information so that you can research,
But if necessary you can contact with your doctor, who you trust to have a result as desired

How to Care for My Teeth

YOU want to make sure that your teeth are well taken care of? It's really really important to have good oral health habits because a dental problem may have more negative consequences that you can ever imagine!

If you don't take care of your teeth, it won't be long before cavities and unhealthy gums make your mouth very, very sore. Eating meals will be difficult. You won't feel like smiling much either. This article will help you out!

Steps

Brushing Your Teeth:

1. Brush your teeth
thoroughly at least twice a day, for two minutes each time. Make sure you brush on all sides of your teeth and get your tongue. You can ask your dentist(s) for a demonstration. It is best to do one of these times before you go to bed, as your mouth does not have the same salivary protection when you are sleeping as it does during the day. If you can, brush after lunch as well. Brushing during the day will reduce the damage caused by plaque byproducts and toxins.
Each tooth has five distinct sides; a toothbrush cleans only 3 of those 5 sides. The other two sides are where much of the destruction and disease (not to mention foul odors) originate: the in between areas. These remaining two sides require dental floss or tiny inter-dental brushes that can reach in-between and under the contact points of the teeth. Gum disease is linked to life-threatening illnesses such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and premature low birth weight babies.

2. Use a dry bristle brush for the first two minutes of cleaning.
It's not the toothpaste that "cleans" your teeth, it's the mechanical action of the bristles in physical contact with the tooth surface that removes plaque (a living bio-film teeming with microorganisms that cause disease). You can do a magnificent job brushing your teeth using a dry brush and rinsing with water (although your teeth will not have the benefit of fluoride).

3. Spend time moving the bristles at and below the gum line, where it is most important to clean. The toothpaste can go on after those two minutes, and you can have the advantage of fluoride, whitening, stain removal or whatever works better for you because it's applied to a nice clean surface.

Floss Your Teeth:

1. Floss your teeth daily and after any food that will stick in your teeth
(i.e. corn on the cob, caramel, peanut butter, etc.). This cleans the other sides of your teeth that you couldn't reach with your toothbrush.

2. Use a tongue scraper. A tongue scraper is an important part of oral hygiene that will also work wonders with stale, smelly breath. Use it to remove the plaque on your tongue, which will freshen breath and presumably slow down the accumulation of plaque on your teeth. Alternatively, you can use your toothbrush to clean your tongue.

Use Mouth Wash

1Find a fluoride mouthwash.
Fluoride mouthwashes help to strengthen tooth enamel. Teach children between the age of six and twelve good rinsing skills to prevent swallowing. Follow the directions on the bottle. Right before you got to bed is a good time.

Choose Your Foods Wisely
1. Avoid snacking constantly. Snacking constantly can cause plaque to build up on your teeth, which can increase the risk of getting cavities.

2. Instead of reaching for the chocolate, nibble a bit of cheese as a snack. Cheese and milk are really good for keeping healthy teeth because they are alkaline. This counteracts the acids that eat away at your teeth.

3. Avoid sugary and/or sticky foods. Sugar feeds the bacteria in your mouth, which then excrete substances that break down tooth enamel.
Eat lots of vegetables, and drink water instead of soda or juice.

4. Remember that fruit juices are full of acids and natural sugars. Keep drinking these to a minimum or only drink them at meal-times, when the saliva is flowing most.

5. Try to chew less seeds. It may produce fissures in your molars.

Visit the dentist

1. Visit your dentist at least every six months and every time that you have a problem with your teeth
. Schedule a professional cleaning with a registered dental hygienist. #Visit the dentist twice a year and Be an "informed health care consumer" and pay attention to what is going on. Ask your dental hygienist what your probings are at each visit! (They should be between 1 mm and 3 mm deep.)

2. Most important: In addition to checking for signs of cavities or gum disease, the dentist and dental hygienist can give you feedback about how effective your plaque removal at home is, and more importantly help you learn the best way to brush and floss. You need to know how to prevent problems by having your skills evaluated. If you are not effective with flossing and brushing technique, you are only wasting your time while leaving the door open for infection and disease. How many times a day you brush & floss, or how long you spend brushing are all SECONDARY to your degree of skill using them. It all boils down to whether or not you can effectively reach and remove the adherent biofilm surrounding every one of your teeth, at and below the gumline. Ask your dental hygienist to watch your technique and work with you! That's what we're there for!

Tips

Understand that when you brush, you don't need a lot of toothpaste; just squeeze out a bit the size of a pea.

Replace your toothbrush every three months.

Spend extra time on the back teeth along the gum-line, holding the bristles at a 45 degree angle pointing toward the gums, as plaque and other bacteria can build up easily there because of your saliva stream.

Everyone has millions of bacteria living in their mouths that have one goal: find a hard surface to stick to and grow into a community. This happens rapidly and automatically, whether we know it or not, twenty-four hours a day, and three hundred and sixty-five days a year. It cannot be avoided because our bacteria are part of us and present whether we like it or not. Once they attach themselves to a tooth surface, they form what is called "plaque" - the invisible film that coats your teeth. You have probably felt this 'fuzzy sweater' feeling on your teeth when you wake up in the morning and run your tongue along the outside of the upper back teeth next to your cheek. Taking care of your teeth involves disrupting the plaque by means of physical contact with dental floss and toothbrush bristles.

Use a thorough, effective technique with a slow circular motion aimed AT and BELOW the gumline, inside and out, top and bottom. Brushing too hard may abrade your gums or cause them to recede and/or bleed, while brushing too soft will do nothing to get rid of plaque/biofilm.

Floss your teeth before brushing. This is so that plaque from the outside and inside surfaces of the teeth gets dislodged too be killed when you brush.

Aim the bristles toward the gumline and brush the insides and outsides of your teeth in a small circular motion.

Use a linear motion to brush the top sides of your teeth (chewing surfaces).

When brushing the back sides of your front teeth, hold the toothbrush upright (vertical) and move it up and down along each individual tooth - both lower and upper arches. Repeat several times for each tooth.

Use mouth wash after brushing.

Chewing gum between meals, especially if the gum is sweetened with xylitol, helps keep your mouth moist, and your teeth cleaner, both of which are good for your teeth.

Get into the habit of drinking with a straw, as this directs the (possibly sugary) drink away from your teeth.

If you smoke, you will be more prone to bad breath, gum infection and bone loss. Also, it prevents you from experiencing the real taste of food and drinks.

Don't forget to brush the back of your tongue and the upper palate of your mouth.

When you use mouthwash, use as directed on the bottle, read all instructions BEFORE using the product.

New prescription toothpastes are now available that can actually reverse early lesions (cavities) by remineralization and also bring added protection to those areas on the verge of breaking down. Ask your dentist or dental hygienist about these products... they are a major breakthrough in preventing decay!

Bulimia can wreak havoc on your teeth, causing irreversible damage from the strong acid in your stomach that comes back up into the mouth while regurgitating. When you have a check up at the dentist, this destruction is clearly visible to them.

Try and drink milk, as it is high in calcium. Calcium helps bones and teeth to grow stronger.

Warnings:
Don't swallow toothpaste. Be sure to rinse and spit after brushing.
Less is more. Don't floss, brush teeth, or scrape tongue too roughly. Over-brushing or rough flossing can cause gums to recede.
Some toothpaste is not recommended to be used daily if they are too strong - check the label of your toothpaste for details.
Never brush your teeth right after a big meal. Wait about a half an hour and then go. Otherwise, you could damage your enamel!
Don't swallow mouth wash.
After having an especially sugary drink, washing your mouth out with water or milk will help get rid of harmful acids?
Don't use a brush with firm bristles, as this will scratch away at the protective layer that coats your teeth.
Don't wear mouth piercings. It produce micro-fractures in your teeth that might break your dental pieces.
Don't cut strands with your teeth because it will conduct eventually to extreme sensitivity.
Avoid biting objects/nails. It might cause tiny fissures and/or cracks in your teeth.
Don't chew gum constantly. IT will lead to articular problems and tooth cavities.
Avoid using toothpicks. They lead to gum disease.
Don't take drugs not prescribed by a dentist. Some drugs work causing friction with your gums which conducts to gum irritation and inflammation.

Things You'll Need:
Toothpaste
A good quality toothbrush, electric or manual, (soft bristled).
Dental floss
Tongue cleaner(Can use your toothbrush).
Sugar free chewing gum (for use during and after meals), can even use whitening gum!
Mouth wash (It can help restore some enamel). If you have weak enamel use pronamel toothpaste.

And Now This's More to It Than Brushing

The Vitamin D/A/K2 Connection
You’ve probably heard about how this holy trinity of micronutrients works together to promote proper bone and tooth mineralization, which means putting calcium and other minerals where they belong (bones, teeth) instead of where they don’t (arteries, dental calculus/plaque). Both Stephan Guyenet and Chris Masterjohn have written extensively about the synergistic interplay between the three nutritional factors, so I’ll keep this brief. Get adequate midday sun or take vitamin D supplements; eat grass-fed butter, hard cheeses, and organs (especially goose liver, apparently), or supplement with vitamin K2; get plenty of vitamin A from liver, egg yolks, and other animal products.

Grain Avoidance
I probably don’t have to tell you to avoid grains, but for any newcomers who might be reading: ditch the grains, beans, and other legumes that contain high levels of phytic acid, which is known to bind to and prevent absorption of minerals critical for dental health. Nuts also contain phytic acid, but we tend not to eat as many nuts as grains or legumes due to the caloric load. It’s a lot easier to eat two cups of whole wheat than it is to eat two cups of almonds. If you do eat nuts on a regular basis, consider soaking and/or sprouting them to reduce phytic acid content.

Nutrient Intake
It’s not enough to consume the holy mineralization trio and avoid excessive amounts of mineral-binding phytic acid; you also need the raw building blocks. That means getting plenty of minerals in your diet. Leafy greens, grass-fed meat, organs, nuts, roots, and tubers are all good Primal sources of calcium, phosphorous, magnesium, and other vital micronutrients – vital for general and dental \
health – so eat plenty of them.

Hate the Toothbrush? Use a Chewstick.
There are numerous examples of traditional cultures using chewing sticks from trees with medicinal or antimicrobial properties, like the neem in India, the miswak/arak in Africa, the Mid East, and Asia, or the tea tree, which I mentioned in a previous post. Here’s an example of a Masai “toothbrush” – it’s a whittled-down branch from a (perhaps medicinal) tree with the end frayed and the fibers splayed out to permit interdental entry. If you don’t have access to a miswak, neem, or tea tree, you can find chew sticks online quite easily. Toothpicks or floss will also work pretty well as a physical deterrent, albeit without any medicinal qualities.

There isn’t a ton of head-to-head research on the subject, but one study from 2003 found that miswak chewing sticks removed more plaque and resulted in better gingival health than toothbrushes. The caveat is that chew stick users had to be instructed in the proper use of the implements, whereas toothbrushes are fairly straightforward (not to mention most of us have grown up using them, so we’re well-versed in toothbrushing). It’s notable that chew sticks do not require toothpaste, and they appear to be just as, if not more, effective than toothbrushes. Longer history of use, too. You just have to know how to use it. Miswak appears to be the most studied, so you’ll probably want to use that variety.

Toothpaste
If you’re gonna use a toothbrush, do you need the paste? If so, is Crest/Colgate/insert-mainstream-paste-here good, or should you go with an herbal/alternative/insert-paste-available-at-Whole-Foods-here instead?

Toothpaste use increases abrasion during brushing, while water alone produces less abrasive force. Interestingly, the same study revealed that softer toothbrushes actually cause as much abrasion (and sometimes more) than stiffer toothbrushes. While increased abrasive forces seem like they’d reduce more plaque, that doesn’t seem to be the case. A recent study found that the brushing is the important part, not the paste. In fact, brushing without paste was more effective at removing plaque than brushing with paste.

An herbal toothpaste made from herbs and plants traditionally used to treat oral disease in India was superior to a placebo toothpaste in the treatment of gingival bleeding and oral hygiene. Another study compared herbal toothpastes to conventional fluoride-containing toothpastes in the treatment of established gingivitis and found that both were equally effective.

In another study, a baking soda toothpaste beat an antimicrobial non-baking soda toothpaste in plaque removal and tooth maintenance. Most studies, in fact, show that baking soda is more effective at plaque removal than toothpastes without baking soda. It’s pretty common among older folks to just use straight baking soda to brush, and this seems to be an effective tactic.

If you’ve got all the nutritional and environmental cofactors under control, I don’t think obsessive dental hygiene beyond daily brushing (remember, even if the bristly toothbrush is a recent invention, cleaning our teeth with sticks or picking at them with fingernails is tradition), some toothpicking/flossing, regular dental visits, and/or maybe some chew sticking is necessary. It doesn’t even seem like toothpaste is necessary for good oral health. That said, I do use it – perhaps because I’ve just become conditioned to, or maybe because I need the artificially fresh feeling it provides – but I also don’t feel the pressing need to brush on schedule. I just don’t develop a ton of plaque if I go a bit longer than normal without brushing, nor do I get bad breath. And as anyone who’s been married for more than ten years will tell you, the wife will definitely let you know if things go awry in that area. If you want a cheap toothpaste that isn’t overly sweet, baking soda should do the trick.

How to Take Care of My Nails

Beauty and womanhood go hand in hand. The mental and the physical well being of a woman is very well reflected in a healthy looking radiant skin. Your skin is not just a reflection of external factors but also of various internal factors. A healthy diet and active lifestyle is a must to ensure that you are beautiful, inside out. It is very important to keep yourself hydrated during winters. So drink lots of water, eat lots of fruit and fresh vegetables and avoid alcohol, tea, coffee, soda and other caffeine rich drinks as they tend to dehydrate the body. Rather, you’d be way better off and healthier if you do opt for soups which are nutritious as well as ones that can keep you warm.

Many of us, irrespective of our hectic schedules do ensure that they eat healthy and follow a strict fitness regime. But amidst this, many of us often tend to neglect a very important part of our body- our nails. Gorgeous looking nails would not just boost the inner confidence in you but also make you feel pampered. Cold weather dehydrates your nails and cuticles, leaving them prone to breaking, chapping and discoloration. The best way to keep nails in top shape is by maintaining a meticulous nail care routine, especially during the cold season.

Tips for Beautiful Nails

1. Eat healthy: What we eat directly reflects on our nails. Our nails are composed of calcium and other minerals. So, it is very essential to replenish them, which you can do so by an adequate supply of calcium, vitamin A, phosphorous, zinc, folic acid, silica, vitamin C. That is a long list that’ll do a food technlogist proud, isn’t it? Let’s deconstruct that to something we can relate to, shall we? Here we go. Drink plenty of milk and also make sure you eat plenty of milk products like cheese, yogurt etc. Eggs, green leafy vegetables such as spinach, parsley , coriander, broccoli, apricots, carrots, almonds are also very good supplements to your diet. Drink lots of water as it will not just prevent wrinkles on your skin but also avoid your nails from getting brittle. Also look out for discoloration of nails or developing ridges, because they are indication of vitamin deficiency. Deficiency of Vitamin B12 leads to dryness and darkening of nails.

2. Personal hygiene: Clean nails are not just necessary to look good but also necessary to ensure your well being. Our nails can carry lots of disease causing bacteria and germs. Winters, especially, make our nails more porous and susceptible to fungus. Trim your nails regularly. But do not file your nails immediately after bath because they tend to break. Avoid back and forth motion while filing your nails and make sure you stick to one direction. Resort to nail buffing as it augments blood circulation, stimulating nail growth and voila you have strong and shiny nails. When you wash hands, make sure you massage soap near your nails and cuticles. Rinse and moisture them well .You could also use a soft brush to clean them. Dead skin around the nails could be removed using a pumice stone. Do not keep exposing your nails to extreme temperatures, very hot water or direct heat and cold. They lead to brittle nails. Use of lukewarm water to wash your hands is recommended. A monthly manicure by professional is must but make sure they use clean and sterilized equipment. Use gloves while gardening, washing clothes, utensils and cutting vegetables.

3. Keep them well moisturized: Apply moisturizer while watching TV, before going to bed and after washing your hands. Massaging hot oil once a week could give you smooth and soft fingers and nails. Vitamin E oil is very good for nails and so is castor oil. You could also use petroleum jelly to massage your beautiful nails. Massaging nail serum could also stimulate circulation and help your nails grow faster as during winters your nails tend to grow slow.

4. Avoid harsh chemicals as they make your nails brittle and damage them very badly. Use a base coat before applying paint. Use non acetone nail polish remover to prevent your nails from being fragile, better stick to acetate containing nail polish removers. Vibrant colors like crimson red, neon blue, deep pink, deep burnt rust, grey is the new black, electric green are the hot trends seen at runway currently. Apply vinegar on your nail to last the polish longer. Base coat is very essential as it prevents staining of the nail color on tour actual nails when you apply polish.

How to Take Care of My Eyes

Diet and upkeep are two important factors in taking care of your eyes. Eye exercises can restore your sight. Your eyes are the window to the world. It is important that you take care of them.

1. Eat lots of fruits and veggies! Carrots, loaded with beta carotene are especially helpful in maintaining healthy eyes.

2. Avoid wearing contact lenses for more than 19 hours. This can cause permanent sight damage as well as extreme discomfort to your eyes. Don't wear glasses too long either. Especially 3-D glasses!

3. Use allergen-reducing eye drops sparingly. Using an allergen-reducing eye drop during allergy season to 'get the red out' and sooth itchiness may help on a limited basis, but chronic daily use can actually make the problem worse.
Read the labels of eye drops carefully; many drops cannot be used while wearing contacts.

4. Press cold cucumber slices gently against eyes 10 minutes before going to sleep at night to prevent puffiness.

5. Wear UV protective sunglasses. Get polarized lenses, NOT just darker lenses. The lenses that only make the world darker will just make your pupils dilate and don't do a thing to stop the UV rays. Prolonged exposure to UV rays can harm your eyesight, protection in youth can help prevent loss of eyesight in later years.
Exposure to the sun's UV rays can harm your eyes so protect them with a good quality pair of sunglasses.

6. Try not to spend so much time looking at your computer screen. (As a matter of fact, now would be a good time to give your eyes a break, since you're not doing anythingtoo important.)

7. Be sure to wear goggles or other eye protective wear when working with chemicals or any place with harmful airborne particulates.

8. Exercise your eyes and also be sure to relax them.

9. Do not read in dim light. Reading in dim light can cause eye strain but will not damage your eyes. If your eyes feel tired, stop for a while and take a break.

10. Do not look at a bright light directly Be careful, while looking at the sun directly. It may affect our eyes

Tips:

1. Don't just use eye drops be sure that they are right for you. While eye drops can make your eyes feel better, their medical benefits have not been entirely proven.

2. Visit your optometrist every year. They can diagnose problems that may be fixed with glasses, contacts, or surgery. They will also check for dry eyes, problems with your retina, and even conditions of the whole body like diabetes and high blood pressure. Some conditions have no symptoms like glaucoma which can lead to total blindness if left untreated.

3. Instead of using eyeglasses or contact lenses, do some research on How to Know if Lasik Eye Surgery Is for You to correct your vision. There are restrictions on who can or should get this surgery, so make sure you consult a doctor before making your decision.

4. Try to take sufficient of Vitamin A! Too much can make your eyes red as well.

5. Eat carrots to see better. Carrots are known to contain high levels of vitamin A

Warnings:

Never put salt in your eyes.
Never look into the sun directly or with a telescope.
Never put sharp objects in your eyes.
Never rub your eyes too much.

Nail Art n Food: YES

Either we were really hungry when we conceived this story, or bright nails and delicious food is a match made in beauty heaven. Spring's recent color craze has worked its way down to your digits, and we thought what better way to showcase the trend than to pair bright tips with some of the most delectable morsels that Brooklyn has to offer.
From sprinkle nail art and mint chocolate chip cones, to spicy tacos and neon ombre, click through for the hottest spring nail looks and some really tasty looking dinner ideas. Hungry yet?

Fuchsia Nails & Juicy Burgers

"I think we've seen neutrals and darks for a while now and people are wanting something fresh and fun," says manicurist Alicia Torello. "I also think the huge surge in popularity with nail art has a big influence on people taking more chances when it comes to color." If you're just starting out with bright nails, we suggest opting for a bright pink — it's punchy, but still within the classic color range, so you don't have to worry about your nails looking too intense or crazy.

Neon Gradient & Spicy Tacos

"I think we are going to be seeing a lot of the bright greens, almost neon kind of looks this spring," says Torello. If you don't want to go full-on neon, trying doing a gradient manicure in shades of greens and yellows — it tones down the in-your-face quality of neon green nails, softening up the look, but still keeping it trendy.

"It's best to use solid opaque colors," suggests Torello. "I'll start on the pinky with the lightest of the five colors and end on the thumb with the darkest. I also really like this technique with purples because you can get a good range of lights to darks. You can also pick one dark green polish and mix it with white to get a nice range of lighter greens."

Sprinkle Nail Art & Minty Ice Cream

What better way to top off a tasty frozen treat than with some peppy sprinkle nail art? "It's good to start with a nice bright base so all your dots really pop," says Torello. "You can get a dotting tool on Amazon or even use a toothpick to create the sprinkles. Start at the tip of the nail with your first color, add a few dots, then do the same with your next color. I try and start with just a few of each color I've chosen because you can always add more. When choosing the colors, try and pick bright, contrasting colors — oranges, bright greens, light or vibrant blues, and purples are always fun together."

Aqua Tips & Gooey Pizza

We're the first to admit that bright nail colors can be tricky to wear. The secret to making them look classy and not trashy is all in the shape and length of the nail. "I prefer a short nail when doing bright colors," says Torello. "I think when they are long and bright it becomes something else. A short, bright nail can be fun, but also chic. When shaping the nail I find following the natural shape of your nail is always a good guide. Be sure to use a base coat as bright polishes can stain your nails."

Bright Stripes & Hearty Sandwiches

Can't decide on just one color? Try using two or three bright shades as an accent color. For this look, Torello chose a dark electric purple for the base, then used a nail art brush to draw pink and blue stripes across the center of the nail. To make the lines as straight as possible, she suggests creating each in one quick, clean swipe — this will minimize any glopping or shakiness.

Glittery Citrus Nails & Slippery Noodles

Another cool way to wear brights is to pair it with a glittery topcoat in a similar hue. One of the things that can make neons look too retro is when they are ultra-shiny, so by adding texture, you modernize the look, without taking away from the vividness of the color

Grow Your Hair Long And Strong

Everyone knows that the body needs vitamins and minerals to sustain operations, but few people really think that vitamins are also essential for hair.Nutrients play an important role in creating and maintaining a healthy hair. If you want to start the vitamin supplements with your hair care from now on, it will take you at least two months to realize the true results, so you need to be patient. Vitamin supplements can be beneficial in many ways.Below are vitamins that efficacy in hair care, but you should be careful about the dosage for providing an amount more than necessary can cause serious health problems.Vitamin A is a powerful antioxidant helps boost the process of sebum production which moisturizes the scalp and the hair. Additionally, having a diet plenty of vitamin A can work to protect hair roots and hair nerve fibers so that hair can grow properly. Foods that provide vitamin A are meat, eggs, cabbage, cod-liver oil, carrots, peaches, spinach, broccoli and apricots. Dairy products such as milk and cheese are known to contain high level of vitamin A too. The suggested dose of vitamin A is 8000 IU per day. So be careful, the use overdose can cause many bad effects. For example, if you provide more than 25000IU will cause hair loss and other serious health problems.

Vitamin C is an antioxidant effects in maintaining the beauty of your hair and preventing hair loss because vitamin C can assist with collagen production and help with hair moisturizing. Plentiful sources for vitamin C are strawberries, green peppers, dark green vegetables, potatoes, cantaloupe, kiwi and citrus fruits. It’s best to consume 100mg of vitamin C daily.

Vitamin E is an antioxidant that helps increase the uptake of oxygen into the cells, support capillaries development, and thereby enhances blood circulation to the scalp. Vitamin E can be found in wheat germ oil, whole grains, soybeans, nuts, green vegetables and dried beans. Advisable dose is 30IU per day. Be careful while taking Vitamin E because it also raises blood pressure and reduce blood clotting ability. People suffer hypertension should consult for doctor’s advices before taking vitamin E supplement.

Biotin: This vitamin boosts the keratin production which helps promote hair and nail growth, prevent hair loss and aging. Good sources for biotin are cereals, brown rice, liver, milk and sunflower seeds. 150 to 300mcg is a reasonable amount for each day.

Inositol is a compound found in the membranes of cells, it works toward make hair follicles healthy. Foods rich in inositol are lemons, cereals and liver. It’s recommended to take 600mg Inositol per day.

Niacin, also known as vitamin B3, promotes blood circulation to the scalp as well as lower cholesterol levels in order to help blood easily move around. Beside, experts believe that cholesterol can be converted into enzymes that is known to inhibit hair grow. Fish, lean red meat, wheat germ, lettuces, cabbages and carrots are foods contain much niacin. Daily dose of niacin is 15mg.

Vitamin B5 also called scientifically pantothenic acid. It is vital in preventing aging and improving hair thickness. Whole grains, organs, egg yolks, vegetables, liver are useful foods as well. You need 1.6mg of vitamin B6 daily for stronger hair.

Vitamin B12 helps prevent hair loss, vitamin B12 found in fish, eggs, milk and chicken. 2.5 mcg per day is best.

Hair Care Mistakes

Recognizing the importance of a beautiful hair, girls always focus on changing hair styles regularly. However, many girls just care about its appearance but don’t really notice that hair should also be cared from inside. Here are some common mistakes of girls when it comes to hair care.

“Hair conditioners can repair split ends”. Many hair conditioners are advertised that they can repair split end. This is absolutely wrong: hair conditioner can not play that magical part. The only thing that could repair split ends is to trim them regularly. Then, select shampoo which helps moisturize and nourish your hair to prevent split ends. You can only avoid hair damage, if your hair is already split, then nothing could stick them back together.

“Comb your hair as much as possible”. Many people believe that usually combing hair can make hair smoother and softer, especially … grow long faster. To the contrary, brushing your hair is very bad for your hair and the leading contributor to split ends and hair breakage. So, just brush your hair if absolutely necessary, brush gently and use a good comb would be beneficial to hair. For best and effective results use a wide – tooth comb and always start near the ends of the hair while combing downwards with smooth stokes.

“The more shampoo and conditioner you use, the better”. Many people think that keep hair and scalp clean by shampooing every day is the best way to treat hair. Using too much shampoo can cause dry scalp and use too much conditioner can cause hair to become greasy and oily. Thus, each person should, depending on long or short hair, thick or thin, apply a suitable amount on hair with every wash. Besides, depend on your hair condition and the environment, you could determine how often your hair needs to be shampooed. If your scalp and hair tend to be dry, shampoo no more than 3 times a week. If possible, go even longer between shampoos. Use a gentle shampoo and conditioner. Massage your scalp with both the application of the shampoo and the conditioner. This will help to stimulate oil glands and will moisturize the scalp with the conditioner. But if you have an oily hair and it tends to become dirty soon, you should do shampoo every day. Use a shampoo that has good cleansing properties but one that is also gentle so that the ends of your hair don’t become dehydrated. Always use a conditioner. For greater result, consult hair experts before applying a special hair care regime.

“Brushing wet hair will cause less tangled”. Actually, brushing when hair is still wet will result in hair fall because wet hair tends to be weaker than normal; it’s fragile and easily breaks. Experts recommend that instead of combing your hair while shampooing or after, it’s better to comb your hair before shampooing it to avoid being tangled during washing.

How To Get Rid of Cellulite ?

Lumpy thighs? You probably want to know how to get rid of that cellulite. Most women, upon seeing those first lumps, want it gone - immediately.

What Cellulite Is
Cellulite is a combination of fluids and fat that is held in place by collagen and tissues called elastin. It is the elastin/fat combination that gives the cottage cheese-y consistency that comes to appear on your body. The elastin pulls down while the fat pushes back in resistance, leading to a dimpled or bumpy appearance.
Under the skin of many women is a distasteful condition known as cellulite which produces an orange peel look to the affected area of tissue; it is generally found in the lower half of the body. It would be unfair to say this is a condition exclusive to overweight women because that couldn’t be further from the truth; even sporting women who do not carry much additional fat can have this condition.

Causes of Cellulite
While what exactly causes cellulite remains unknown, genetics, a large weight gain and aging can contribute to the development of cellulite. Men are much less likely to develop cellulite than women.
A number of fats collect in the lower areas of skin and push against the connecting tissues forcing the skin to pucker or have a dimpled look which is called cellulite. After many years of research, scientists still cannot determine the exact reason for its formation or why some are affected more than others but there may be some connection between toxins that enter the body and how certain fat cells store them.

Analysis and how To Get Rid of Cellulite ?

One thing is certain though and that is as a persons age increases, the amount of this fatty tissue increases in the same way that wrinkles also form which is probably due to the reduction of the two components that keep the skin looking young; collagen and elastin. It is classified as a hormonal imbalance experienced by women and seldom appears on males as normally fat stored in the thighs and buttock is the same as fat stored all over the body so no difference is observed.

Often the cellulite goes unnoticed and it is only when a person’s muscles are compressed or the skin is pinched that it can be seen and felt but women should not feel depressed about the problem as most suffer with it to a greater or lesser degree. There are several factors that contribute to the build-up; genetics probably, gender, the amount of excess fats in your body, age is a major factor and the thickness of the skin are all instrumental to its presence and just how visible it is, even at a distance.

As medical science cannot prove conclusively what causes the problem, it makes it difficult creating a cure even though a number have been tried including special burning creams. A large number of cosmetic clinics are now offering a massage service which they say rids the cellulite but it in fact hides it by puffing up the skin in the areas affected.

Liposuction has now started to be used to try and remove the fat cells and even by injecting drugs directly into the affected sacks directly. Liposuction is rarely that effective with surface based fat like cellulite and is more proficient at removing deeper fats from the body which are not trapped in the cells but none of these treatments offer anything but short term relief only.

Whilst the creams that claim to burn the fat deposits away may not be very successful, the latest generation is designed to hide the condition although once again this is a short term answer. So far the best method is back to basics combining a healthy diet with exercise that gradually burns off the fat but not the connective tissue where it is found.

Many toxins that accumulate in the body can be flushed out with regular amounts of water which some believe is still an effective way to keep the body free of harmful substances including the toxins which help with the formation of cellulite.

Of Course: Many women spend hundreds to thousands of dollars on cellulite treatments to no avail. Among these treatments are:
Cellulite creams
Mesotherapy, which involves injecting a liquid containing ingredients such as hormones, vitamins and enzymes under the skin in the areas where your cellulite is
Liposuction, which can actually make your cellulite look worse

You may be able to temporarily improve the appearance of your cellulite. Massage, such as lipomassage, may make your cellulite look better for a short period of time. In addition, two medical procedures that involve laser or radiofrequency treatments as well as massage may help improve your cellulite's appearance for up to six months.

You can take another approach to dealing with cellulite. For example, if you are overweight, start working on a healthy weight loss program. While this will not get rid of your cellulite, it may make the cellulite look better. You can also wear clothing that minimizes the appearance of cellulite, such as A-line skirts or long pants.

The bottom line is that developing cellulite may just be normal, as unappealing as that thought might be, and your task becomes to do what you can to minimize the appearance of those lumps.

Tips to Slow Down Visible Aging

When it comes to aging, women drew the short straw. With the exception of balding and a crashing metabolism, men can ease into their 40s and 50s without losing many of their defining features. It's a much more uphill battle for us ladies; we pour hundreds of dollars into anti-aging creams and then thousands into plastic surgery to try to turn the clock back. Instead of doing damage control, let's talk prevention. Here's a list of ten activities and behaviorisms that can speed up the aging process, so learn them and avoid them!

1.Smoking.

Although smoking is a well-advertised hazard to your health, it also takes a heavy toll on your appearance. Leathery skin, yellowed teeth and fingertips are all visible signs of smoking that make you look much older than you actually are. Longtime heavy smokers also tend to have gravely voices as a result of larynx damage and wear.

2.Sleep: too little and too much.
Your body works at its best when it is given enough rest, but not too much. The recommended amount is approximately eight hours; chronically sleeping too much or too little can put you at risk for health problems such as heart attack and diminishing your immune system.

3.Over-exercising.

Working your body too hard can cause muscular and cellular damage. Working out for four or more stamina-hours each week puts you in the risk zone.

4.Wear your sunglasses!

Protecting your eyes should always be a top priority; studies are showing more and more that the correlation between wearing sunglasses outside not only protects your eyeballs but also helps prevent crows feet and other wrinkles associated with heavy squinting.

5.Similarly, slap on the sunscreen.

Age spots on forearms and hands are the most visible signs of age; the fewer of these you have the younger you will appear. Guaranteed.

6.Lose the eyeliner.

Each time you pull your eyelid straight to apply eyeliner, you're loosening the skin and contributing to future wrinkles.

7.Foundation foundations.

The foundation you apply should brighten up your appearance. Also, remember that less is more. Caked on makeup creates the appearance that you're wearing a mask. Use concealer for blemishes and as little overall foundation; you want to appear more youthful and part of being young means minimal makeup.

8.Sleeping on the same side.

You create linear wrinkles when you regularly sleep on the same side. If you can, sleep on your back. This position minimizes puffy eyes and keeps your facial skin tighter.

9.Don't drink from straws.

Sucking through a straw means pursing your lips, which can bring on wrinkles. The same principle can be applied to cigarette smoking.

10. Use soft sheets.

Heather Locklier once told an interviewer that one of her beauty secrets was sleeping on satin sheets, at the least a satin pillowcase. Your facial skin is much more fragile than you may think; using soft bedding provides the gentlest cushion for your skin (facial and otherwise).
